ADHD MEDICATION PATHWAY
Guidance around ADHD medication.
For many adults, medication can significantly reduce symptoms of ADHD and improve day-to-day functioning. If you receive a diagnosis, we discuss:
→ Whether medication may be appropriate
→ The different types of ADHD medication available
→ Expected benefits and potential side effects
→ Monitoring and titration process
→ Shared care options with your GP, where applicable
Medication is always a personal decision. Our approach prioritises safety, careful monitoring, and ongoing review.
AUTISM
Adult autism diagnostic assessments.
Many adults seek an autism assessment after years of masking, social exhaustion, sensory overwhelm, or feeling "different" without understanding why.
→ Detailed developmental history
→ Structured diagnostic interviews
→ Use of gold-standard assessment tools, such as ADOS where clinically indicated
→ Exploration of masking and camouflaging
→ Functional impact assessment
We approach assessment from a neuroaffirmative perspective, recognising strengths as well as challenges. For many adults, diagnosis brings relief, validation and clarity.
COMBINED PATHWAY
Combined ADHD & Autism assessments.
It is common for ADHD and autism traits to overlap. A combined assessment provides a more efficient and integrated understanding where both are suspected.
✓ One coordinated assessment process
✓ Reduced duplication
✓ Holistic understanding of your neurodevelopmental profile
✓ Clearer, tailored recommendations for both conditions
Our team carefully considers differential diagnosis to ensure clarity and accuracy.
AFTERCARE
Ongoing support after diagnosis.
Assessment is not the end of the journey, it's often the beginning of better understanding and support. Following diagnosis, we can support with:
→ Medication titration and monitoring, for ADHD
→ Workplace adjustment guidance
→ Psychoeducation
→ Signposting to therapy, coaching or specialist services
Our aim is not just diagnosis, but practical support to help you move forward with confidence and clarity.
