Dr Domanic Caveney

Clinical Psychologist

Domanic is a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience in the NHS. He has worked in a range of services including inpatient and outpatient Forensic Mental Health services for adults and adolescents, Secure Children’s Homes, community CAMHS teams and Neurodevelopmental Assessment Services.


He has rich and varied experiences assessing for Autism and completing differential diagnosis assessment for complex young people. He is trained in IPT-A (Interpersonal Psychotherapy for adolescents) and is pursuing accreditation in Short Term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.


He provides teaching on psychodynamic theory and practice to the Teesside University Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course, the same programme that he qualified from in 2020. Outside of work he enjoys yoga, rock climbing and live music.
