Jo Hurst

Speech and Language Therapist

Jo is HCPC registered and a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. Qualified for almost 30 years, Jo has spent most of that time supporting autistic children and young adults in specialist schools. In 2003 she obtained a post graduate diploma from Manchester Metropolitan University. She is passionate about changing attitudes and educating others to enhance communication environments and opportunities.

Jo was the Clinical Lead Therapist for Autism for 10 years in Bolton Healthcare before moving to Berkshire and working for a private specialist residential school for children and young adults with complex autism as the lead Speech and Language Therapist. She joined the Berkshire NHS Autism Assessment Team in 2017 and carries out assessments for all ages.
